Position Summary The primary responsibility of the manager clinical research (MCR) is to develop and oversee all activities and study staff within the identified research program(s). The MCR is required to have an in-depth knowledge of program infrastructure, protocol requirements, and good clinical practices (GCPs) as set forth by federal regulations. As the primary resource for research within the department, the MCR will act as liaison between the investigators, primary care providers, the institutional review board (IRB), research administration, ancillary services, and the sponsor.
License/Certification/Registration: *CCRC [ACRP] or CCRP [SoCRA] certification preferred.
Education: *A Master's degree in a health-related field and four (4) years human subject research-related experience; or a Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and six (6) years of research-related experience (Four of which must be human subject research experience).
Experience: *At least four (4) years' experience working in research setting with vulnerable populations (children and youth, pregnant women, fetuses, neonates, prisoners), with two (2) years acting as a project lead on clinical trials. Supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *The clinical research program manager must be a detail-oriented person with strong writing, communication and computer skills; and ability to supervise a staff working on multiple projects.
