Unit Specializes in: 5 West serves a variety of patient types. Heart Monitoring, Observation, General Medical/Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, Medical Psychiatry, or Palliative/Hospice, each one has their own unique requirement of care. Our 39 bed unit provides the individualize plan each patient needs to return to a pre-hospitalization state or as close as to be expected. You will get the experience to be part of a collaborative medical team that discusses what the best is for the patient. Our RN ratio is 1:5 or 1:6 based on acuity.
