Lab Assistant II includes all responsibilities of a Phlebotomy Technician. Technician is responsible for the accurate and timely collection, labeling, processing and distribution of patient specimens to the laboratory. Processing functions include timely retrieval of specimens from transport systems, verification of sample receipt in LIS, centrifugation and other pre-analytic steps including use of the automated track system.
