Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant I for Palliative Care/IP Hospice at Morristown Medical Center. This is an evening shift from 3p-11p, including every other weekend.

• Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
• Assisting patients with daily activities
• Measuring and recording vital signs
• Administering basic treatments
• Helping to ensure a safe care environment
• Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
• Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have positive customer service skills

• Perform bed baths, turning patients, oral care, Foley catheter care, empty drains and Foleys, pass pitchers of water, and make hourly rounds to ensure patients are comfortable, fed, and have toileting needs have been addressed

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

License/Certifications:

• BLS Preferred
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred

Relevant Experience:

• 1-2 years' of acute experience preferred
