Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Secretary/Techinian for the Palliative Care/ IP Hospice in Morristown Medical Center to work 7pm-7:30am including every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
Meets all visitors and staff with a smile and a sincere interest in helping them
Confidently answers all phone calls with a smile and excellent phone etiquette
Expedites service needs on behalf of the patient to the appropriate source
Collaborates effectively with all the team members and other departments to ensure a smoothly running unit and efficiently coordination of services
Maintains unit tidiness, stocking of PPE boxes, Flu stations, ensures supply of antibacterial and bleach wipes are present at each station
Ensures patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have positive customer service skills
Bath patients, empty Foley catheters and drains, provide mouth care, reposition patients
Hourly rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
HS diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Previous unit representative experience is preferred
Previous nursing assistant experience is preferred
Nursing Assistant certification is preferred
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and work in collaboration with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team in a patient/family centered environment.
