The Gastroenterology Section of the VA Maryland Health Care System is recruiting an Academic Clinical Gastroenterologist with expertise in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. TheInflammatory Bowel Diseases-focused Gastroenterologistis expected to provide comprehensive care to patients with inflammatory bowel diseases and other gastroenterology conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This will include outpatient IBD clinic, supervision of the infusion center, endoscopy, and inpatient service coverage. The position also requires teaching and supervision of trainees and support staff, including GI fellows, residents, medical students, and nurse practitioners.
Requirements:
Medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent)
BC/BE in Gastroenterology
Must possess superior clinical and endoscopic skills
Must be an U.S. citizen and hold a medical license in the United States
Must be skilled in routine endoscopic procedures
A strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting
A record of clinical investigation is highly desirable

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Relocation/Recruitment may be authorized for highly qualified applicants.
