Summary:
The Supervisor Environmental Services is responsible for supervising the operational functions of the Environmental Services, maintaining the highest quality standards of cleaning and maintaining good public relations with all customers served.
Responsibilities:
1.Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
2.Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
3.Responsible for supervising the operational functions of the Environmental Services, maintaining the highest quality standards of cleaning and maintaining good public relations with all customers served.
4.Responsible weekly/monthly training initiatives.
5.Demonstrates the skills associated with efficient management of human resources including creation, administration and management of disciplines.
6.Carries out the leadership and administrative responsibilities of management in an accurate, timely and results oriented manner.
7.Responsible for Customer Rounds, Quality Audits and Patient Experience surveys and the documented collection of data into a computer system.
8.Responsible for scheduling of the day-to-day work functions within the department.
9.Responsible for maintaining necessary records to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
10.Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
1.Experience and knowledge of proper use of all chemicals and equipment used by the Environmental Services Department is preferred.
2.Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
3.Experience in healthcare is preferred.
4.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
5.Experience and knowledge of compliance items related to regulatory agencies including but not limited to JC and OSHA is preferred.
Education and Experience
1.Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree preferred
2.Certification: None.
3.Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
4.Years of experience supervising: 2 years is required.
