As a Nurse at Centura, you will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Schedule: 40hrs/ week-variable per volume and unit needs Scheduling:Managers make the schedule (no self-scheduling, no set days, no set shifts)Cases/day (average): 8-12/day; add on patients in the afternoon Scheduling details:We have a variable schedule (no self-scheduling). Call is in addition to regularly scheduled hours. We schedule cases Monday-Friday 0730-1930. Nights, weekends, and holidays are call shifts for urgent/emergent cases. We try to work with staff but will meet the needs of the department to cover. ALL shifts are subject to change depending on department volume. The 0600 shifts float the most. Our staff will do either PACU or GI Call depending on skill set. It's best to find out what they can or can't do, and we can discuss during an interview.We offer 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts Monday - Friday depending on FTE: Shifts are... 0500-1530 (10hr) 0700-1730 (10hr) 0600-1430 (8hr) 0800-1830 (10hr) 0600-1630 (10hr) 0800-2030 (12hr) 0600-1830 (12hr) 1000-2030 (10hr) Preop and PACU staff are cross trained to work both areas, and do Preop and PACU for both Surgery and GI Lab. Preop # beds: 12 rooms PACU # beds: 19 bays (split, 10 North PACU, 9 South PACU) Cases/day (average): about 20 surgeries, 10 GI, and 20 Pain Clinic / DayWhat You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact, * *Colorado Only:* RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact.
