This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. The incumbent will provide direct patient care, offer support to the provider staff and work with additional interdisciplinary staff. He/she will work closely with the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) of the GEC&R Care line, Associate Chief Nurse for GEC&R at the site and collaborate with the GEC&R Care Line Manager. The successful candidate should have advanced clinical experience as well as demonstrated administrative skills and a track record of dynamic, innovative leadership that emphasizes a collegial approach. This physician functions as a subject matter expert for educating Veterans, staff, and family about geriatric syndromes, functional assessment, and end-of-life issues. This will include, but is not limited to, documentation, process workflow and other functionality regarding necessary clinical systems.
