The role you’ll contribute:
The Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) of the Home Health and Hospice CBO has extensive understanding of end user system use for Epic, HomeCare HomeBase, and SSI. They need the ability to analyze and understand system and process problems, as well as the knowledge to make solution recommendations that meet the organizational goals. The RCM develops and promotes a common performance and productivity standard across business office functions including eligibility, insurance authorization, financial counseling, billing and collection operations. They are dedicated to providing a secure, effective, integrated revenue cycle process delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost, and increases efficiency.
In addition, the RCM will participate in interdisciplinary meetings and projects, and will provide system training within the department and amongst other teams if warranted. They are responsible for oversight with end users in the analysis and documentation of business office workflows, performing gap analysis, and identifying needed process changes. The RCM will oversee and assist with process improvement to identify possible future uses of the information systems and potential improvements in the current use of the systems. They will also oversee and manage the Central Business Office Supervisor who is responsible for assisting in managing day-to-day eligibility, authorization, and billing operations for AdventHealth’s home health service lines, and will work together with the Central Business Office Manager for the hospice service line

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors revenue cycle metrics and drivers for home health and hospice branches related to insurance verification, authorizations, financial counseling, billing and collections (including days in AR reduction, improved cash collections, reduced aging, and fewer denials.)
Achieves staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Develops measurable productivity metrics in Epic for billers, insurance verifiers and financial counselors.
Analyzes, coordinates and monitors the workflow of billing and verification staff.
Responsible for monitoring and mentoring of CBO Supervisor and assistance with escalated issues.
Monitors unbilled claims with external errors and performs necessary analyses to determine root cause and coordinate corrective action.
Assists in analyzing financial trend reports in areas of adjustment reasons, denial reasons, billed claim totals, accounts receivable, held revenue, and late charges.
Focuses on staff development, coordinates and performs complete training for Central Business Office employees to ensure maximized performance and productivity.
Ensures timely implementation of business procedures and enhancements.
Supervises staff in conjunction with the organization’s managerial/leadership practices and adheres to corporate policies.
Supports the PFS Director and Senior Manager with managerial administration.
Serves as a liaison between the CBO, AIT, AdventHealth Corporate Shared Services and all revenue cycle vendors.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree or Assoc Degree with commensurate experience.
5+ years minimum revenue cycle experience in a hospital, home health or hospice setting.
Billing and collection experience in home health and hospice service lines.
1+ years leadership/training/mentoring experience.
Strong information technology experience in healthcare related programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides supervision and guidance to the CBO Supervisor regarding their scope of responsibility to include A/R management, benefit verification, authorizations, and staff management.
· Attends regular meetings with CBO leadership staff to review revenue cycle metrics, any billing or payer issues and team member performance.
· Monitors staff productivity and coordinates any required performance improvement planning and discipline
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Prior experience in Home Health and Hospice billing.
Epic Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
Knowledge of billing systems, cash posting systems, and eligibility systems
