In compliance with applicable State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption. Requests for medical exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required to start work.

*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster two months after completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. Because vaccine-induced immunity can wane over time, MSK continues to strongly urge all staff to get a COVID-19 booster as soon as they become eligible to maintain their protective immunity for a longer period.

Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) - Inpatient Supportive Care Service

Hours: Flex 12 hour shifts (day/night), including weekends and holidays. 13 shifts per 4 week schedule

Are you passionate about identifying ways to help people cope with cancer and their treatment so they can live their best lives possible? If so, we have a rewarding and fulfilling opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Supportive Care Service at MSK!

We Are:Our highly skilled APP team at Memorial Sloan Kettering is comprised of over 900 Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. We are currently seeking an APP for our Inpatient Supportive Care Service.

Our Supportive Care Service provides expert care for the symptoms of cancer and its treatment. We also support clear communication between patients, their families, and the care team. In addition, we make sure that cancer care matches up with patients' priorities and values.

The APP will provide palliative care consultation to hospitalized oncology patients to meet their physical symptoms and psychosocial needs, use evidence-based practice to implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research when necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care.

You Will:

• Provide palliative care to adult oncology patients in an independent, collaborative, and interdisciplinary practice model
• Collaborate with primary disease management teams and as a part of an interprofessional Supportive Care team to provide palliative care throughout various stages of cancer
• Facilitate post-acute transitions from inpatient to outpatient care in accordance with patients' values and goals

Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:

• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
• Graduate from an accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification
• BLS certification

Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are:

• Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
• Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
• Related National NP certification
• BLS certification

*Related experience in oncology and/or palliative care is preferred.

Pay Range: $113,800.00-$187,900.00
