The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to NP/PA Protocol, and within the scope of the NP/PA License in the State of Wisconsin. NP support the physicians while caring for our patients residing in Nursing Home Facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in improving the quality of care our patients are receiving in the nursing home.

You will travel to local Nursing Homes where you will see patients for routine visits, admissions, problem-focused visits as well as discharges. You will be meeting family members, creating care plans and working with a physician, APP and MA team. Participating in care planning and end-of-life decisions of our geriatric population is a valuable asset to our community and holds opportunities for expansion and growth. NP/PA's support the physicians while caring for our patients residing in Nursing Home Facilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Master's Degree in Nursing.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: One to three years' nursing experience in specialty.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and NP/PA Licensure. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
