Learn more. This position is located in the VA New York Harbor HCS, Radiation Oncology Service at the Brooklyn Campus. This position is responsible for providing a broad range of Radiation Oncology services to Veterans receiving care at the facilities. Duties and responsibilities are carried out throughout the Medical Center. The Physician follows established guidelines, ethics, and policies and protocols of the Radiation Oncology Service, Department of Medicine, Department of VHA, and the profession. Each Radiation Oncology Specialist functions as a cooperative and collegial team member with the entire staff. If selected, you will be charged with delivering the best possible Radiation Oncology services to our Veteran patients. You will perform services for conditions in both in-patient and out-patient clinical settings. This care must be delivered in accordance with hospital policy and meet community standards and pertains to outpatients as well as inpatients. You must be able to deliver interventions throughout the full spectrum of Radiation Oncology; i.e. you are expected to maintain good diagnostic and therapeutic acumen.
