The Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville KY, is seeking board certified/eligible Rheumatologist to serve our Veteran patients. We are looking for a physician candidate interested in personal growth and career development in our mission arms of excellent care, and superior teaching. The Rheumatologist is responsible for providing Inpatient Rheumatology consults and follow-up, outpatient Rheumatology consults and follow-up, evaluation of patients with a variety of Rheumatologic conditions, and the performance of Rheumatology procedures. Some of the functions performed by the Rheumatologist include, but are not limited to: Outpatient evaluation and management of rheumatologic condition, consult management using various modality of care- i.e VA Video Connect, Telephone, E-consult. Management of patients requiring biologics and IV bisphosphonates. Provides ongoing care for patients with a wide variety of Rheumatologic conditions. Reviews no-shows, contacting patients for abnormal lab tests, review of requests for refill. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (Depending on need, TOD could vary VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
