This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Learn more The VAPSHCS is hiring RN's to assist with COVID 19 Response. The incumbents will primarily support COVID 19 services and may float to other areas to support the care of veterans throughout the facility. The COVID 19 Services provides care to Veterans in non-traditional ambulatory care settings (i.e. outdoor tents and mobile medical units) and provide nursing support throughout the facility to care for Veterans. Duties include but not limited to: Perform duties to support VAPSHCS COVID 19 Emergency Response, to include but not limited to, COVID 19 screening, COVID 19 testing, patient education, and immunizations. Care for COVID 19 patients in ambulatory care settings Work effectively as a team member and communicate, listen, report and gather crucial data to enhance patient outcomes Functions independently in performing assessments and processes Actively participates in daily huddle and team meetings Provide virtual and telephonic care for patients Triage and apply a collaborative team approach in identifying, analyzing and resolving patient care problems Utilizes problem-solving methodologies and advances clinical knowledge to resolve system and/or processes that impact patient care Maintains current knowledge of multidisciplinary resources, programs and services, referring patients for community resources as appropriate Assists with navigation of health systems and intervenes or refers as needed to facilitate the achievement of patient outcomes Communicate with physicians/LIP patients' conditions and requirements Verifies physician orders using electronic health records system Complete patient care plans according to policy Documents using electronic health care records system Provides education to patients and families Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases.
