This Physician is the Cardiology Department within the Medical Service and practices at the independent clinical level of practice. The non-invasive cardiologist has specialized knowledge of practice related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of cardiac conditions. This physician will perform or assist in related procedures. Cardiology is the discipline whose providers specialize in diagnostics, therapy, management, prophylaxis and research of diseases affecting the heart and circulatory system. The Physician works as a member of the Cardiology Medical team at the Hershel "Woody" Williams campus of the Huntington VA Hospital. There may be sometimes that the clinician would have to visit a CBOC for the purpose of meetings or trainings. Duties include, but are not limited to: Conduct weekly Cardiology Clinics Answer inpatient and outpatient consultations Interpret and Generate reports of all Cardiology procedures. Includes Supervision of Cardiology Fellows. There may be other duties as assigned or required. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, day shift and occasional call is required.
