The Central Arkansas VA Healthcare System is seeking a board certified Diagnostic Radiologist to be responsible for all functions which fall under the scope of care of Imaging Service to include clinical and administrative management. The incumbent will work with and is supported by Diagnostic Imaging Service leadership. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Conducts interpretations on Radiology Examinations Primary duties will be in Neuro Radiology Defines Modality Specific Protocolling Consults with Ordering Providers Reviews Orders and defines imaging protocols Assists in Fee Basis Consult Review Attends Multi-Disciplinary Conferences Performs Non-IR Invasive Procedures Resident supervision/education Performs 5000 RVU (or other set annual productivity level) by Chief of service Takes part in daily scheduled or on call duties as required by facility Works with the Chief and Assistant Chief, Diagnostic Imaging Service and other staff as appropriate, supports operations issues/problems resolution in a logical, step-wise fashion. Participates in a forum in which staff identifies, communicate, and resolve issues related to Diagnostic Imaging Service, Medical Center ancillary and support operations, and VISN-wide mandates. Works with the Chief and Assistant Chief, Diagnostic Imaging Service and other disciplines as necessary to support, contribute to and implement policies, procedures, performance goals, strategic plans and initiatives. Seeks and enhances opportunities to promote and strengthen the Medical Center's and VISN goals. Responsible for implementing the goal of improving care for patients within the Medical Center and VISN Participates in Diagnostic Imaging Service strategic planning. Participates in local administrative, management, quality assurance, and other assignments, meetings or committees. Provides direct patient care as a consultant in outpatient clinics and/or inpatient wards and will participate as a representative for Diagnostic Imaging Service at multidisciplinary conferences, such as Tumor Board or Chest Conference.
