Station 88 is an exciting medical/surgical oncology unit. We provide a safe, supportive learning environment while providing exceptional patient and family experiences. We are committed to providing exceptional experience and high quality patient outcomes to those we serve. As an interdisciplinary team we collaboratively care for a variety of patient populations from acute illness to chronic disease management. This is a night position, 12 hour shifts with every third weekend. Benefit eligible.
Primarily provide inpatient care for adult and geriatric medical patients. Most patients have multiple complex health problems in addition to their admitting diagnosis.
Services provided are for oncology/hematology patients at varying stages of the disease process
Continuum of care includes diagnosis, treatment, palliation, and hospice care.
Major treatment modalities (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation) and minor treatment modalities (administration of biologic response modifiers, and hormone therapy) are provided.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
