The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks located in Fayetteville, Arkansas is recruiting for the Chief of Medicine Service. The incumbent reports to the facility Chief of Staff. The Incumbent reports directly to the Chief of Staff and is a key clinical resource for the Medical Center Director. The individual possesses excellent interpersonal skills and provides administrative, clinical, programmatic leadership. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Planning, developing, and directing all administrative and clinical functions of the service line. Provides oversight of the Inpatient Acute Care Unit, Medical Services, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Subspecialty Services, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Therapy. Maintains a patient panel. Provides oversight responsibility for residents and medical students. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm - Due to the nature of this leadership position, it is expected that working hours could be extended beyond the normal tour of duty
