This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) is recruiting for a Full Time Physician specializing in Hematology/Oncology to join our growing program. We are seeking candidates with excellent clinical skills and experience in the full range of care in Hematology/Oncology. VAPHS is one of the largest VA healthcare systems in the United States offering state-of-the-art technology that serves a large Veteran population in Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Management of hematology/oncology patients in the outpatient, inpatient consult, and telehealth setting Conducting and enrolling patients into clinical trials Supervision and instruction of Hematology/Oncology and Internal Medicine residents/fellows . Participation in multidisciplinary meetings Basic and translational research in hematology and/or oncology Work Schedule: Typical tour of duty is expected to be Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; however, weekend and evening hours may occur when Veteran needs arise. Will cover inpatient consult services, weekends/home calls while on service. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Telehealth: Knowledge of Telehealth processes and procedures.
