These will be new consults and follow-up visits with the patient. The incumbent will provide orthopedic consultation to care providers of all kinds throughout the VISN who need help deciding how to manage patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Communicates effectively will all associated health care providers to ensure the highest quality of care when seeking medical or surgical assistance in patient care, imaging, therapy, social work assistance, etc. ADMINISTRATIVE The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the orthopedic telehub. This will involve coordinating with other orthopedic telehub providers to provide continuous work-day coverage during business hours, monitoring telehub appointment grids and utilization, monitoring service delivery times, and ensuring quality of care. Ongoing adjustment of telehub operations to maximize efficiency and quality is expected and will be necessary. The incumbent will oversee the performance of all orthopedic telehub staff. The incumbent will meet weekly with the orthopedic telehub director(s) to report performance and address concerns. The incumbent will attend weekly surgical indications conference in Palo Alto either in person (if possible) or virtually. Challenging cases or other cases of interest that have been seen in the telehub can be discussed with operative surgeons in this meeting. Effective and open communication with surgical staff in Palo Alto and at all VISN sites will be critical to success. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
