This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Duties include but not limited to: 1. Provides a full range of assigned outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care and consultation as outlined in clinical privileges. 2. By virtue of training and continuing medical education, maintains an emphasis on evidence-based assessment and intervention. 3. Collaborates actively with psychiatric, medical, and mental health provider colleagues to deliver high quality multidisciplinary care. 4. May provide opioid substitution therapy - must have or obtain a DEA waiver for this purpose. 5. Provides on call psychiatric coverage for the facility as scheduled, shared with the other psychiatry staff. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus (up to an additional 7.5% of their salary (not to exceed $15k), regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: Annual leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per biweekly pay period; Sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per biweekly pay period; 10 paid Federal holidays per year. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years' vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. CME: Possible $1,000 per year stipend + possible 1 week paid authorized absence to attend.
